OSTCHEM increased production of KAS by more than 130%
Plants of the nitrogen holding OSTCHEM, which are part of Group DF of Dmytro Firtash, produced 959.7 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers in the first half of 2023. This is 60.9% more than in the same period last year, when 596.3 thousand tons were produced.
This was reported by the press service of Group DF.
In total, in the first half of 2023, Cherkasy "Azot" produced 758.6 thousand tons, and "Rivneazot" - 201.2 thousand tons. At the same time, the factories maintained high production volumes throughout the period, and in May, Cherkasy Azot reached the maximum rate since the beginning of the full-scale war, producing 138,600 tons of mineral fertilizers.
According to him, at the moment the main task is to prepare production facilities for the autumn season.
Oleg Arestarkhov, head of corporate communications at Group DF, added that urea imports from post-Soviet countries exceeded Ukrainian production (205.9 thousand tons). With such a volume of imports, it will be more difficult for urea producers, such as Dniprozot and the existing OPP, to start up.
Recall that in 2022, the nitrogen enterprises Rivneazot and Cherkasy Azot, which are part of OSTCHEM, produced 1.754 million tons of nitrogen products.
