The sowing campaign is carried out in all districts of the Cherkasy region

According to data for all categories of farms, as of April 14, almost 30 thousand hectares were sown with grain crops in the Cherkasy region, which is 6% of the plan. This was reported by the press service of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Regional State Administration .

In particular, sowing of spring wheat was carried out on 5.2 thousand hectares (86% of the plan), spring barley - on 20.3 thousand hectares (47%), oats - on 0.4 thousand hectares (40%), peas - on 3.4 thousand hectares (47%).

In addition, industrial crops were sown on an area of ​​6 thousand hectares (1.5% of the plan), including: sugar beet - on 2.1 thousand hectares (22%), sunflower - on 3.8 thousand hectares (1.5%).

“The work continues, under favorable weather conditions, we expect to complete the sowing of spring grain crops at the end of April,” the department noted.
