The fertilizer producer in Cherkassy has put ammonia and urea plants back into operation
Cherkasy "Azot" resumed the work of two key shops - ammonia shop (shop A-5) and urea (shop M-6).
The launch of the workshops is connected with the completion of the repair campaign and the increase in the volume of fertilizer production due to the seasonal increase in demand, Group DF, which is part of the company, said in a statement.
It is noted that the enterprise currently operates two workshops for the production of ammonia: A-3 (design capacity - 1200 t/day) and A-5 (1700 t/day), as well as two workshops for the production of urea: M-2 (1000 t /day) and M-6 (1000 t/day). Workshops for the production of nitric acid and ammonium nitrate continue to work.
"The planned start-up of workshops took place, the summer repair campaign is completed, and the enterprise is fully ready for autumn sowing. We are able to provide farmers and agricultural holdings with the necessary amount of fertilizers... We hope that power outages will not prevent us from continuing to work clearly, fulfilling all concluded contracts, - noted the chairman of the board of PJSC "Azot" Vitaly Sklyarov.
This year, UAH 164.6 million was spent on capital repairs of Cherkasy "Azot" equipment. In total, since the beginning of the year, investments in CAPEX amounted to UAH 222 million.
