Corn harvesting has begun in Ukraine
As of September 22, 2022, grain and leguminous crops were harvested on an area of 6 million 787 thousand hectares (61%) with a yield of 38.4 t/ha, 26.1 million tons of grain were threshed, including:
- 4.7 million hectares of wheat were threshed (99%), with a yield of 41.0 tons/ha, 19.2 million tons were threshed;
- 1.6 million ha (100%) of barley were threshed, with a yield of 34.7 tons/ha, and 5.5 million tons were threshed;
- 109.4 thousand hectares of peas were threshed (98%), with a yield of 22.9 tons/ha, 250.7 thousand tons were threshed;
- 20.9 thousand ha (0.5%) of corn were threshed for grain, with a yield of 44.1 tons/ha, 92.2 thousand tons were threshed;
- buckwheat was threshed on 47.2 thousand ha (40%), with a yield of 14.0 tons/ha, 66.1 thousand tons were threshed;
- millet was threshed on 28,800 ha (64%), with a yield of 23.7 tons/ha, 68,100 tons were threshed.
In addition, sunflower harvesting continues, it was carried out on an area of 672 thousand ha, (14%) 1 million 294 thousand tons of seeds were threshed with a yield of 19.2 tons/ha.
228 thousand tons of soybeans were threshed with a yield of 23.3 tons/ha, the area is 97.7 thousand ha, (6%) .
Rapeseed harvesting was completed on an area of 1.1 million hectares, 3.1 million tons of seeds were threshed (100%) with a yield of 28.8 c/ha.
469,000 tons of sugar beet roots were dug with a yield of 512 t/ha, the area is 9.2 thousand ha, (5%).
Agricultural producers of Dnipropetrovsk region, Kirovohrad region and Odesa region threshed more than 2.0 million tons of grain. More than 1 million tons - Vinnytsia, Volyn, Kyiv, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi and Cherkasy.
The highest yield of grain and leguminous crops among the farmers of Khmelnytskyi region is 62.1 t/ha.
