In Ukraine, the area under legumes will be significantly increased

In the current situation, it is much more profitable for Ukrainian farmers to trade in more expensive goods or products with added value, so the production of legumes in Ukraine can still receive new development. This was reported by UkrAgroConsult grain market analyst Maryna Marynych, writes agronews.ua.

"UkrAgroConsult" expects an increase in the area sown under leguminous crops in Ukraine in 2023, primarily peas, as the least demanding. Sowing of beans may increase against the background of growing demand, and chickpeas and lentils could at least return to pre-war levels," says Maryna Marynych.
