The forecast of grain and oilseeds harvest in Ukraine has been announced

In 2022, Ukraine can harvest grain and oilseeds at the level of 66.5 million tons, which will be harvested from an area of about 18.8 million hectares. This forecast was voiced by the Ukrainian Grain Association.

We will remind, earlier in UGA predicted that Ukraine can receive grain and oil crops about 63 million tons.

In particular, UGA experts expect a wheat harvest in Ukraine at 19.2 million tons, which is significantly lower than last year's record (33 million tons), but three times higher than the annual domestic grain consumption. At the same time, the transitional reserves of wheat of the last harvest are almost 10 million tons. Exports of wheat in 2022/23 MY under the conditions of such a harvest and taking into account large transitional reserves may amount to about 10 million tons.

"Barley in the p.r. we can harvest at the level of 6.6 million tons (in 2021 - 10.1 million tons), the same export in 2022/23 MY can be expected at the level of 2 million tons. Maize harvest can be expected at 26.1 million tons (37, 6 million tons), while its exports may amount to about 15 million tons, "- said in UGA.

As for oilseeds, the sunflower harvest in Ukraine can be expected at 9 million tons (in 2021 - 16.9 million tons). Rapeseed production is projected at 1.5 million tons (2.9 million tons), and its export 2022/2023 MY is expected at 1.3 million tons. Soybean harvest is expected at 2.1 million tons (3.5 million tons), and exports in 2022/23 MY - at the level of 0.8 million tons.
